Following the direction of movement of the ore from underground to the surface, this tour leads through the exhibition from bottom to top. Several of the artistic works on display are inspired by material finds and observations in the disused Mansfeld mines. Via the question of an infinite shaft, we move from the basement of the Inspektorhaus to under the roof of the granary. This involves indicator plants such as the copper flower, waste and slag heaps, by-products as resources, canaries, trolls and much more.
